Athletic Club (The Blues) The Bideford Amateur Athletic Club, known locally as "the Blues", was formed in 1870, and has been one of the town's premier sporting establishments ever since. The club has two main "sections", the rowing section (one of the premier clubs in the West of England), and the harrier's section.

Rowing Club (The Reds) The B.A.R.C was founded in 1882 and has stood proudly on its present site, on the Quay, since 1939. The club, better known as "The Reds", has produced Rowing Championship crews second to none in the area and between them have amassed over 40 West of England A.R.A Championships and three South Coast Championship victories. Club Exeter Rowing Club The club is situated in the heart of historic Exeter and is the oldest and most successful sporting club in the city, being founded in 1864. Its membership is of both men and women from their teens to retirement age. In a typical season, these members compete in ten local regattas in Devon and Cornwall on the National Circuit in various classes. Exmouth Rowing Club The club was formed in 1993 and caters for all types of rowing both recreationally and competitively on open sea or smooth waters. As well as attending the WEARA area regattas the club also participates in sea rowing events in the Channel Islands and Brittany. The current boats used are 34' grp coxed fours and can be rowed in the roughest of waters, using the dagger boards fitted the boats can easily surf in shallow waters. Rowing Club Paignton Amateur Rowing Club has a long history of involvement in the West of England Amateur Rowing Association. Paignton is one of the most popular holiday resorts in England, situated in the southwest of England on the English Riviera. The Boat House of Paignton rowing club is positioned on the harbourside on South Quay with easy access to the slip. Rowing Club Plymouth Amateur Rowing Club is one of the friendliest clubs in the South West and enjoys welcoming people of all ages to the sport of rowing. Crews of all abilities enjoy competitive entries or relaxing on the River Plym, in carbon fibre fine shell boats as used in the University Boat Race and the Olympics.
