The finance committee meets three times yearly and has responsibility managing the funds allocated to and raised by WEARA by way of regatta levies- the affiliation fees collectable from each member club, and other fund raising activities. It liaises closely with other committees such as the Rowing Development committee, and allocates funding for such things as Instructors courses and Umpiring equipment. It is also responsible for insuring WEARA equipment and overseeing care of Championship shields and medals. Recently the committee oversaw the provision of monies awarded by the Awards for All scheme whereby an award of £5000 was given to WEARA and four clubs were allowed £500 for the purchase of quad riggers, the remainder of the monies is to be used to part finance members from WEARA clubs wishing to attain Instructor Awards at various levels.
